The Centre For Continuing Education in partnership with the Zimbabwe Association Of Microfinance Institutions are offering The Executive Certificate in Microfinance and Entrepreneurship (ECME) Course for Harare and Bulawayo Cohort.
NUST Centre for Continuing Education and ZAMFI launched the Executive Certificate in Microfinance and Entrepreneurship (ECME) course in 2018 and since then 77 students have graduated with certificates from the program. The ECME course program was designed to develop the next generation of microfinance practitioners in the industry, equipped with cutting edge skills and knowledge related to international microfinance best practices and conduct.
The program is a six (6) month executive certificate program with two (2) blocks made up of four course modules. At the end of each block, the students will be requested to sit for an exam designed to test the application of knowledge, application and insights in a practical microfinance working environment.
2020 ECME February Intake
Registration for next year intake for February 2020 is now open. The first block of the course will start on 1 February 2020 and will run over 8 weeks both in Harare and Bulawayo concurrently. It is envisaged that respective MFIs should consider sending some of their staff members to undertake the program and if need be make payments for their members of staff.
- Duration: 6 months split into 2 x 3 months blocks conveniently being weekend classes: full day Saturdays and half day Sundays.
- Application Fee: a non-refundable fee of Z$50.00.
- Tuition Fee: Z$400 per module i.e. Z$1600.00 per block. If payment is being done by the individual, a payment of half deposit of $800.00 shall be accepted with the balance payable within a three month period.
- Registration and payment of fees deadline: 24 January 2020.
